If the weather won't play my way...
... I'll just force spring to arrive.
Starting here, in my room.
That's a whole lotta Spring for just 2€ I'll say :D
Delightful!

Insomnia
It's 4:02 am...
somewhere in the world it's gotta be day, but definitely not here.
My throat feels like sandpaper. It's been keeping me up with coughs and sneezes that shake my whole body. From head to toe. When I lie down flat to sleep and I close my eyes, I can already feel it rumbling in the depths of my lungs.... and emerge with the faintest roar that turns into a thunder and explodes BAM!! with unstoppable force.
So that's why I'm up. That's why I got up wearily about 30 minutes ago to make myself tea with ginger and lemon and lots of honey. That's why I nearly flooded my bed in the attempt to pour said tea out of (the apparently clogged spout of) the teapot. That's how I found out (about 20 minutes ago) that my next door (to the right) neighbor has 3 obnoxious alarms going off at around 3:50 am... I'm assuming he has to get up at four. He is currently yelling at his dog. I am NOT interested in his line of work. I AM, however, interested in the insulation (or lack thereof) of this wall...
I'm pretty sure he must be, too, after having heard my 80-year-old-lady-chain-smoker's cough for three consecutive days and nights.
And I'm pretty sure we're both thinking the same thing right now: What the hell!? When will the coughing stop? Can't the manly voice go, the red nose go, the chapped lips go? Can't I go back to sleeping like a normal person, instead of being shaken by violent coughs? I mean... come on, this is making me dislike my favorite activity: sleep.
I'm sure we're on the same page on that one - me, and my neighbor.
I'm going to try pouring myself more of that tea. Good night, folks. I hope you're sleeping tight.
